Dogs may have a tough time on the two bridges... we had to carry our dogs over them because their legs would slip through the metal grating. The falls themselves are beautiful, but there’s not a lot of area to enjoy the water safely. Starting in Gallipoli Park in Marysville, this track is 3.4 kilometres and will take 1 – 1.5 hours return. VERY VERY HOT, you walk on pavement the whole time so take way more water than you think you need.
Great easy walks. This is not a hike!!!! The trail back and fourth is like a 3 hour hike. The trail offers a number of activity options. Not a difficult trail. It’s a utilized paved road for those that are allowed. Nearby: Marysville Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Water is ice cold though, but it’s nice if you hike it on a hot day. Plummeting 84 metres the falls have been a favourite since the 1860’s. Some pretty views with the lovely waterfall at the end. Although, the trail is paved and wide, I would not recommend this hike for people with small children. A gentle walk along paved walking paths to the Steaveson Falls viewing platform, with options for walking to Marysville along the 3.5km Tree Fern Gully trail. A near-on 15km hike, it takes in some amazing views of the surrounding Marysville area via Keppel Lookout. Little work for a large payoff- the waterfall is gorgeous! The grate bridge was tough on my dogs feet (Great Dane, I cannot carry him) so he only had to get over the first bridge there and back. To get there drive to Steavenson Falls carpark, which is located 3km along  bitumen on Falls Road. Snow falls within 2 hours of Melbourne! Spring would be the best tine to go in my opinion. It is a paved path which makes it easier than other trails. I would do this hike again. i'd reccommend going veryyy early in the day because the walk back (starting at 11am) felt extremely hot parking looked like it sucked (around 1pm). Some trails or park services may be closed this weekend so check with local authorities before heading out. Toilets? We went during the midweek and there was hardly anyone.

It is best to go early in the morning because it gets really hot, and there is not much shade.

It was nice and very peaceful. (Energy enthusiasts, stop at the turbine generator along the way.) Flows all year round but best in Spring after rain. On a sunny day u will not find shade unless going in the caves. Very accessible for all abilities. No shade. Lovely view and for those more athletic you there is a path to climb to enjoy closer views higher up. The whole way is paved & there’s no shade so take sunscreen. This trail is paved with power lines that strewn about the hillside. The 700-metre gravelled path and falls are floodlit between dusk and midnight and the return trip will only take between 15-30 minutes. The reason being, there aren’t a lot of sights along the way and the hike in and of itself is incredibly long. Yes, free camping at Keppel Creek or Andersons Mill (both 20 minute drive) Dogs? dont miss out on the two caves-- one near the waterfall, and one near what is currently a parked tractor, a mound of asphalt, and some weird (if thats not there, theres some man-made conctete structures to look out for.) Little shade along the way. The hike has an inclined that’s not too bad to do. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Enjoy around three hours to play amid the snowfields, visit the magnificent Steavenson Falls or make the most of the snow with a 90-minute ski lesson or a ride on the snow tube and toboggan runs (extra costs apply). Remember me Lucky for us, it was in the 90’s but overcast! Be sure to park within the yellow lines at the trailhead. Take an easy stroll to one of Victoria's highest waterfalls. The walk is easy and there are good advantage points to see the falls. The facilities are well managed and make this natural wonder accessible to all which is a huge plus – we all need a dose of nature in this busy day and age. Paved all the way. Very accessible for all abilities. My dog requires tons of water. When we came to the falls he laid on the ground and never even attempted going on the grates. Nice escape from the heat.

Caves are fresh and awesome as well as the fall.

Beautiful trail, about a 3 mile hike but I recommend to take your bikes, gorgeous waterfall and caves to see. Steavenson Falls is absolutely stunning. His paws were bloody after 2nd time across the 1st bridge but appear no problems any longer.

Take a torch for the path on, Fabulous falls with a good walking track to see them. You go over a bridge to see it and need to climb down a bunch of rocks to get closer to it. About a 3 1/2 mile walk to the waterfall. Marysville Lake Mountain Visitor Information Centre. The caves were very cool and fresh.
