Much of the QoL upgrades are alone worth it: Resolution, UI size, shader/lighting changes, max limit on objects in modules removed. Overall imo it's a vast improvement over the diamond, but do realize that due to age and what not a lot of modules/haks will be broken in the EE due to the updates and lack of updates to those modules/haks. looks great on my 4k, a real pleasure to play with Steam friends. Most social functions in Neverwinter are locked until a character reaches level 15. We have a little bit of everything. The NWN single player campaign is really pretty bad. PW is persistent world, which is essentially an online server with its own persisting world, not an instanced story that progresses. My gf and I do a fair amount of NWN now. Persistent worlds are player created servers that are admin'd and organized by players. End of the module level is 16-20 I've read. I didn't really like the multiplayer in the Baldur's Gate games though.
Whispering directly to other players and the creation of a guild are two of the main restricted functions. Aside from the nwvault I have my own snapshot of the contents from when it's fate was unclear, and we don't have a great need to change things up, or at least not yet. I've not played the "premium" modules. At the time we were all Diamond and moved onto other things just pre-EE. To get your first set of gear, I recommend asking for help doing the opening quests … pve server . I'm not really balking over $20 or whatever times n for the size of our group, it's more value of play.

Yes you should get it. I've never played anything other than single player, and I still love NWN. Level quick to level 8 quickly in Neverwinter, mod 18, Infernal Descent!
