The first half of the book traces the evolution of thinking about the nature of reality, from Democritus to Newton to Einstein. Rovelli has a way of knocking your socks off and seeing the universe in a whole new light. Very few physics books talk about Democritus, so it is great to give credit to the great scientist of antiquity.
