There's an in-game tutorial so you don't have to worry about misunderstanding the controls. There are more than 300 levels. But after peeling back each layer I discovered a rich, fevered puzzle game with then-unmatched multiplayer options for a puzzler. I think it's pretty brilliant and have played it off and on for 14 years (nearly half my life!). There are some fantastic swirling backgrounds, but since none of the action takes place there, they receive little attention. It's extremely different from its predecessors and may take some getting used to, but proves more than worthwhile in the end.
