If you like to read about culture of other nations I really suggest it, but if you're looking for something only about Ikigai, it may be too long for you. Knowing that the five pillars ikigai drive most Japanese people, I now understand how these things may have come to be. I felt that in reading the book I learnt quite a lot about Japan and it's people, which proved to be very interesting, but not much that would help anyone to find their life's purpose. You can be happy when living in a warm climate as in California, you can be happy when living in Montana, where you have severe winter conditions.
